I need your questions for an upcoming interview with Nick Hodges, the Delphi & RAD Studio R&D Manager with Embarcadero Technologies. Leave them as a comment to this message and then listen to his answers in our next episode.
Comments closed in preparation for interview. Thanks to all who commented!
Marco Cantu has a new Delphi 2010 book coming out. Cary Jensen has a new Advantage Database Server 10 book coming out. Together they have their Delphi Developer Days coming up. Now is your chance to ask them about any of these topics, or get their opinion on any other news in the Delphi community, or stump them with a technical question. Post your questions or vote for other questions. I’ll do my best to ask the top questions.
I’ve setup a separate Uservoice forum for your questions. Be sure to log-in so I can ask you questions in case I need more information! Anonymous questions are OK too though.
The interview is scheduled for 9 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday the 24th. Get your questions in before then!

I need your questions!
Michael Rozlog has agreed to an interview. I am planning to discuss his roll as the Delphi Product Manager, the Delphi Survey, the Delphi Road Map and your questions from the comments on this post. The interview is scheduled for Thursday, so I need your question before then. Try to keep the question short and succinct. If you have a bug report, please use QC. If you have an issue in QC then please include the QC number.
If you would like to email me an audio question or use the Delphi Hot Line to submit a question you can do that too. My email address is email@example.com or call (361) 4Delphi. You can also post your questions to a special user voice forum, which might be the best way so I can ask you questions back about your question.
UPDATE: Listen to the interview.
Today we have a great interview with Silver Helmet of Delphi Legends Community Award winner Žarko Gaji? from Delphi.About.com. Be sure to checkout his interview on Wings of Wind.
Some of the stuff we talk about:
- Teaching developers new to Delphi.
- Answering Delphi questions.
- Delphi Best Practices.
- The advantages of a free Delphi.
- The move to Embarcadero.
- And a lot more.
I really enjoyed this interview and Žarko is a great guy who does a lot for the community.
A couple points of news:
- I actually interviewed Primož Gabrijel?i? previously, but unfortunately lost most of the audio. So I will get with him an record it again.
- I haven’t had any posts for a while because my database filled up with stats, which prevented adding new posts. Thanks to Jamie Ingilby for his help troubleshooting it. I reconfigured it to keep the stats size down. Shouldn’t happen again.
I am collecting some questions to ask Nick in our interview this week. If you have any questions you would like considered for the interview please include them here. I want to interview him early this week, so post your questions right away.
I am experimenting with a new anti-spam system on this blog. It claims no false positives, so no-one should be rejected. If you have any trouble posting, please email me at ThePodCast@Delphi.org and hopefully the spam filter on my email doesn’t filter you too.
Update: Listen to the Interview.
