Delphi Man Sighting

Delphi Man has been sighted in Germany at Vario Software, makers of the Ticare bug tracking software for Delphi with Delphi! Benjamin Peuthert sent me a picture of his team with Delphi Man and Dr. Deadline. Notice how they keep the two of them separated so they don’t do battle during the picture!

In the front are Sascha, Benjamin and Nedeljka, in the middle are Andreas and Thorsten and in the back is Olaf. (Click for larger)
In the front from left to right: Sascha, Benjamin and Nedeljka. In the middle: Andreas and Thorsten. In the back: Olaf. Assuming you know Delphi Man and Doctor Deadline. (Click for larger)

I asked Benjamin to tell me a little about their bug tracking software and he told me (edited and formatted by me):

The most important feature at the moment is the Delphi plug-in, but some more cool and Delphi exclusive features are already in development. You have a list of your tasks in the IDE and can enter the time spent for a task directly in Delphi. Here are some screen shots.

I hope we finish the translation within the next two weeks. But yes, at the moment information is only available in German. Check out the product information is located, or information about our company.

Thanks to Benjamin and his whole team!  I look forward to hearing more about this great Delphi add-in, which I am sure Delphi Man uses in his battle against Dr. Deadline.

I love hearing about successful Delphi teams and seeing pictures of happy developers!  Anyone else out there with Delphi Man inflatables who wants to send me a picture?

The Further Adventures of Turboman

It would appear Dr. Deadline has returned in an attempt to foil the plans of Delphi Man!  Thanks to the amazing Dave Keighan for sending me an original Dr. Deadline PDF.  Maybe print out and give one of these to your manager. . . .

Thanks to B. Peuthert who pointed out that we can learn more about the original adventures of Turboman in the CodeGear Museum!  Now if we can just get him to snap some pictures of him with his inflatables!  I’d love to post them here!

My son is really getting into this superhero stuff.  He suggested Courageous CodeGear as the group all the superheroes belong to.

Anyone else have any developer super hero swag?  Send me a picture or a link and I will post it here.  Or maybe you have a new superhero / supervillian name or original artwork?  Just leave me a comment!

Return of Delphi Man

My friend Jamie sent me a Twitter earlier that he found an original Delphi Man.  Jamie said he has actually had Delphi Man at his side on his desk for quite some time.  He is actually planning to patch him to say CodeGear instead of Borland, although the Borland is fairly discrete now.

So print out Delphi Man and take him with you on all your Delphi Programming adventures as you fight the evil forces of Doctor Deadline and his sinister sidekicks Bug Boy and Feature Creaper.

Does anyone out there have Doctor Deadline pdf?  If I remember correctly Borland released them as a pair, and some lucky developers actually got a inflatable of them!  I actually made up Bug Boy and Feature Creaper, but maybe some one is talented enough to make them. . . . .

For those who don’t know Jamie he was the first Delphi developer I connected with on Twitter and actually encouraged me to start the Podcast, so if you like the podcast send Jamie a big thanks.  He also recently updated his blog to include Delphi Programming on every page.  Way to go Jamie!

Delphi is sure to be language of the year with support like that!
