The April 2017 Tokyo Hotfix Works with the new Xcode & iOS

Apple pushed out a new Xcode and iOS this week with WWDC. Naturally I updated and tried it. Xcode version 8.3.3 (8E3004b) and iOS version 10.3.2 (14F89). I’m running 10.2 Tokyo with the April 2017 Hotfix and it all worked as expected. I deployed to my iPad and the iPhone simulator (I don’t have an iPhone anymore, upgrade to a Pixel XL!)

Are you running Toyko 10.2 with the April 2017 Hotfix? There are updates coming too. Check out the roadmap to see what is planned for 10.2.1 & 10.2.2. Great new features and a lot of fixes too!

Any news on when the Tokyo Android fixes are going to be released, please?

Whilst its great news that Tokyo works with XCode 8.3.3 I find very little to get excited about. I would love to start using Tokyo but as I’m trying to develop cross platform code that supports both iOS and Android the fact that Android is broken in Tokyo makes the product completely useless!!!!!

Its now been several months since Tokyo was released and still no sign of an update. I’ve been an avid Borland/Codegear/Embarcadero fan for years but just lately I feel like completely giving up.

If Embarcadero really expects users to be committed to their products I think they seriously need to look at and address the speed of fixing critical issues.

“working as expected” is simply not true! Have you even tried deploying the app as Ad-Hoc or to the app store? I guess not, because then you would realize that it is not possible due to the deprecated PackageApplication. ????

The Android fixes are coming soon. They are working really hard on them internally. Stay tuned.

@Robert Yes, Apple removed that, but you can simply workaround it. I’d already worked around that so it was “expected.” My bad.
