Introducing The Delphi Hotline

Since CodeRage is done and I am back from Denmark and Germany (EKON/DelphiLive) it is time to get back in the saddle for the Podcast.  Coming up next I have a call with spirit of Delphi award winning Andreas Hausladen that I am really looking forward to, and according to our Uservoice Page, so are some of you.

Something new I want to do is start taking listener questions.  Some of these questions might be for a specific upcoming interview, while others might be for nobody specific, and I will do my best to find someone to answer it for you.  Sounds exciting, right?

There are a few ways to submit a question

  1. Call the Delphi Hotline at (361) 4Delphi and leave a message
  2. Send an email to questions this domain (feel free to send an audio file or just text)
  3. Leave a comment in the blog posts where I announce the next episode
  4. Post to our Uservoice page (or vote for someone else’s question)
  5. Figure out a different way to get me your question (be creative)

I am not making any guarantees that I can answer your questions, but I will do my best.

I look forward to your questions!

Delphi Prism Silverlight Replay

My CodeRage 4 session Introduction to Silverlight with Delphi Prism is available for replay (full resolution). Some of the links are there, but there will be more links and more downloads to come. I also formatted the video (reduced resolution) to play on the iPod Touch, iPhone or any of a number of other compatible devices.

Stay tuned to CodeRage 4 the rest of the week.  I have two more sessions coming, and there is a lot of other great sessions there too.

Cirrus Aspect Oriented Programming Replay

My CodeRage 4 session on Aspect Oriented Programming with Delphi Prism is available for replay (full resolution).  Some of the links are there, but there will be more links and more downloads to come.  I also formatted the video (reduced resolution) to play on the iPod Touch, iPhone or any of a number of other compatible devices.

CodeRage is going on all week and I still have 2 more sessions to come.

32 – Upgrading WordPress

And now for something completely different.  Today we have a video podcast of upgrading WordPress.  This is an experiment in formatting video podcasts to play on the iPhone and iPod Touch.

You can watch the video online, or download it to watch later.  I included the MP3 as well, but this is much better as a video podcast.

Let me know if you like these portable formatted video podcasts.

31 – MonoTouchDevelopPrism

marc hoffman of RemObjects discusses some of the news about MonoTouch for the iPhone, MonoDevelop for the Mac, and Silverlight 3 development, and all with Delphi Prisim.

You can follow the progress of Delphi Prism and the MonoDevelop rewrite in marc’s blog and join them in the remobjects.public.oxgene.md-project newsgroup.

I discovered that EKON 13 is also known as Delphi Live Germany.

Follow along with CodeRage IV.

Video now included

Sorry about no video being included in the last post. For some reason I couldn’t access my admin console right in the middle of posting. I think my hosting provider decides to block me occasionally because I do too many things at once.  The video is now there.  Enjoy!  I think I have one more video to post from the labs, and then I am on to a couple of the other segments I recorded.

Delphi Live! 2009 – What’s Cooking in the Delphi Labs – Part 7

This is actually the segment I’ve gotten the most requests for me to upload.  Unfortunately I am a bit obsessive compulsive about doing them in order. . . .  This is the part of the What’s Cooking in the Delphi Labs where I presented on the Cirrus Aspect Oriented programming framework for Delphi Prism.
