2 – Nick Hodges

This very special episode features an interview with Nick Hodges, the Delphi Product Manager for Embarcadero‘s CodeGear.  A lot of great information and news on the changes with CodeGear and Delphi 2009.  This one is a little bit longer at 38:46 with all that we covered in our interview.  You will probably find it just flys by though.

Also check out our sponsors: Smart Inspect and Beyond Compare, both with new versions 3.0.  Beyond Compare has a 25% discount code for listeners to the podcast, good through the end of August, and Smart Inspect has a free copy for one lucky listener.  Check out the details on the giveway.

Great podcast! I admire Nick’s ability to give clear and straight-forward answers. Even when asked something he cannot (for biz reasons) comment on directly – he does give a sensible reason for hope where appropriate.

P.S. The well placed crickets and typecast bomb sound effects had me laughing out loud :D

Great show and thank you for making the question I sugested.

Thanks a stack for a great podcast – It provided some answers and for the rest I will have to wait for the future to become more clear. 64 Target Compiler technology from 32bit platform will possibly open up multi-target compilations – did I hear correct?

  5. Ken Knopfli says:

    Much appreciated.
Got all my questions addressed by Nick.

  6. Awesome podcast! Great to get a sense of who Nick is as a person, his views, feelings, etc. rather than just the corporate line. Nice work!

  7. Rob Uttley says:

Great interview! Thanks for asking my question(s) Jim, and I really appreciate you answering them, Nick. As Myles said above, it was good to get more of a sense of Nick as a person. I’m really looking forward to getting my copy of D2009 – glad I kept-up the software assurance :-)

Keep up the good work – looking forward to your forthcoming guests!

    Thanks for the “Podcasts!”

Since forums.codegear happens to be inaccessible at the moment, and I wanted to give Nick a “Well done!”, I’ll leave a note here.

    Good job, Nick!

    Kudos.
